When talking about globalization most common examples are Mc Donalds outlets on the Phillippines or Ikea furniture in Saudi Arabia. However globalization for individuals is usually much more concrete, in particular for those who want to compete in future employment markets. Companies have switched to determine potential candidates not only by grades, degrees or rankings by former employers for quite some time. So-called soft skills are gaining increasingly in significance.
